What is Open Studio, and How Does it Work?

Any time the doors of my Astoria Oregon art studio are open, class is in session. To create a mosaic, come in, choose and pay for the project you want to do, then we'll teach you how to use all the tools properly and safely. After that, you have full access to all the things in the studio - the glass, beads, baubles, shells, rocks, buttons, ceramics, jewelry parts... whatever! You don't have to bring anything with you but a little creativity and willingness. You won't finish that first day, so you'll leave everything here and we'll store it for you until you come back - on your schedule. When you're done gluing, you'll learn how to grout it. And you're finished! All for one low price - projects start at only $30. You can't beat that deal!

What About Art Classes?

​People have asked for organized classes that teach specific methods. We have several on the calendar, and are scheduling more in the near future. So check out:
- Creating Fimo clay millifiori: techniques and uses - June 1, 2019. Cost is $60/person.

- Mosaic Stepping Stones for the garden: Two Saturdays - June 22 and 29, 2019. Create a beautiful 12x12" stepping stone for your garden. Cost is $80/person.

- Frit Making: Students will learn to grind glass to make frit and create a mosaic picture with the results. Saturday - Sunday, July 20-21, 11:30-5:00. $100/person

- Alcohol Inks on Glass Class: Students will learn different techniques for decorating clear glass with alcohol inks to use in other aft projects. Saturday, Aug. 24, 11:00 - 5:00. $100/person
